5th anniversary of EVIL DREAM
Heute vor genau 5 Jahren haben wir mit der Veröffentlichung der EVIL DREAM EP den Grundstein für alles gelegt, was wir seit dem erreicht haben.
Seit unserer Gründung haben wir drei Alben, zwei EPs und insgesamt über 40 Songs veröffentlicht. Und obwohl EVIL DREAM eigentlich nur als Studioprojekt gegründet wurde, haben wir dieses Jahr sogar unsere allererste Liveshow bestritten und möchten dieser auch noch weitere folgen lassen.
Deswegen möchten wir uns bei euch bedanken, dass ihr uns in der Zeit begleitet habt und freuen uns schon auf die nächsten 5 Jahre mit euch. Ohne euch wäre das nicht möglich gewesen.
Als kleines Dankeschön veröffentlichen wir heute unsere Jubiläumssingle Pure FKN Evil, welche wir euch schon bei unserer ersten Liveshow präsentiert haben.
Und da eine Version nicht genug ist, haben wir direkt noch eine Live Version des Songs dazu gepackt, welche wir auf der besagten Liveshow aufgenommen haben. Womöglich ist dies ja nicht der einzige Song, den wir da aufgenommen haben…

Exactly 5 years ago today, with the release of the EVIL DREAM EP, we laid the foundation for everything we have achieved since then.
Since the band was founded, we have released three albums, two EPs and over 40 songs in total. And although EVIL DREAM was actually only founded as a studio project, we even played our very first live show this year and would like to follow this up with more.
We would therefore like to thank you for accompanying us during this time and are already looking forward to the next 5 years with you. This would not have been possible without you.
As a small thank you, we are releasing our anniversary single Pure FKN Evil today, which we already presented to you at our first live show.
And because one version is not enough, we also added a live version of the song that we recorded at the live show mentioned above. Maybe that’s not the only song we recorded there…
Lost In Space Remastered OUT NOW!
Ab heute gibt es eine remasterte Version von Lost In Space (Ad Astra, 2022). Es ist ein ruhigerer und emotionalerer Song, welcher relativ am Ende des Songwritings entstanden ist.
Ich war damals nicht zu 100% zufrieden mit dem Sound und habe nun beschlossen, noch ein bisschen nachzubessern. Das Ergebnis ist immer noch nicht perfekt, ich wollte mich jedoch nicht zu weit weg vom Original bewegen und auch nur mit dem Ausgangsmaterial arbeiten, ohne etwas neu aufzunehmen.
Jedoch konnte ich den Mix deutlich verbessern und auch im Gesamtsound noch mehr herausholen. Alles in allem bin ich mit der Version deutlich zufriedener und wollte euch diese nicht vorenthalten.

Today I’m releasing a remastered version of Lost In Space (Ad Astra, 2022). It is a slower and more emotional song, which was written at the end of the songwriting process.
I was not 100% satisfied with the sound at the time and have now decided to improve it a little. The result is still not perfect, but I didn’t want to move too far away from the original and also only work with the source material without re-recording anything.
However, I was able to improve the mix considerably and also get more out of the overall sound. All in all, I’m much happier with this version and didn’t want to deprive you of it.

Today is the day.
Heute veröffentliche ich mein drittes Album In Colour und der Name könnte nicht treffender sein. Musikalisch wie Thematisch wage ich mich in komplett neue Gefilde und probiere neue Dinge aus.
Über ein Jahr lang habe ich an dem Album gearbeitet und ich bin der festen Überzeugung, dass sich die Mühe gelohnt hat.
Ein großer Dank an Familie und Freunde, für die Unterstützung und euer Feedback, ohne euch wäre das alles nicht möglich gewesen.
Ein großer Dank geht insbesondere an MR. HORROX aka Marcus, welcher mir für dieses Album mehr als ein Mal seine Stimme geliehen hat.
Mehr Worte will ich auch gar nicht verlieren, ein ausführliches Track by Track habe ich bereits vor ein paar Tagen veröffentlicht, dort könnt ihr die Hintergründe der Songs nachlesen.

Today I’m releasing my third album In Colour and the name couldn’t be more fitting. Musically and thematically, I venture into completely new realms and try out new things.
I worked on the album for over a year and I firmly believe that it was worth the effort.
A big thank you to family and friends for your support and feedback, without you none of this would have been possible.
A big thank you goes especially to MR. HORROX aka Marcus, who lent me his voice more than once for this album.

Heute veröffentliche ich mit In Colour die fünfte und letzte Single zum kommenden Album, welche gleichzeitig auch der Titeltrack ist.
Und dieser hat eine klare Botschaft: Er ist eine Hymne für die Gleichberechtigung.Wir sind alles Individuen, bunt gemischt und doch sind wir alle Eins. Und deswegen hat jeder Mensch auf diesem Planeten das Recht gleich behandelt zu werden und wir als Gesellschaft haben die Pflicht dafür zu sorgen, dass dies auch so geschieht.

Today I release In Colour, the fifth and final single from the upcoming album, which is also the title track.
And this one has a clear message: It is a hymn for equality. We are all individuals, a colourful society, and yet we are all one. And that is why every human being on this planet has the right to be treated equally and we as a society have a duty to ensure that this happens.

Bury The Sorrow OUT NOW!
Heute veröffentliche ich mit Bury The Sorrow bereits die vierte Single vom kommenden Album. Neben den schlechten Nachrichten, die uns mittlerweile fast täglich erreichen, wollte ich auch mal ein paar positive Noten anklingen lassen.
Dieser Song ist nicht nur für mich, sondern vor allem für euch. Dies ist ein Song über Selbstmotivation und geht raus an alle, die gerade einen kleinen Motivationsschub oder ein paar aufbauende Worte brauchen.
Man kann alles schaffen was man möchte und egal wie dunkel die Nacht gerade ist, irgendwann geht auch wieder die Sonne auf.
Man muss an sich arbeiten und auch Fehler eingestehen, aber man sollte sich niemals einreden lassen, dass man sich ändern muss, nur weil andere es so wollen.

Today Bury The Sorrow, the fourth single from the upcoming album, is released. Besides the bad news that drops in nearly every day, I want to spread some good vibes.
This song is not only for me, but especially for you. This is a song about self-motivation and goes out to anyone who just needs a little motivational boost or some uplifting words.
You can do anything you want and if it’s dark after the night some day there will be light.
You have to work on yourself and also admit mistakes, but never let yourself believe that you have to change just because others want you to.

War Is My Business OUT NOW!
Heute erscheint mit War Is My Business die dritte Single vom kommenden Album.
Der Song sollte satirisch und zynisch sein, doch aktuell bleibt einem eher das Lachen im Hals stecken. Der Song setzt sich damit auseinander, wie schlecht und böse ein Mensch sein muss, um mit Waffen und Krieg Geld zu verdienen. Der Song stellt die Gedanken eines solchen Menschen überspitzt und vulgär da, doch gleichzeitig sollte eines deutlich werden: ein solcher Mensch ist abgrundtief böse und schlecht.
Ich habe diesen Song im März 2021 geschrieben, lange bevor Russland die Ukraine angegriffen und somit den ersten Krieg seit Jahrzehnten in Europa begonnen hat. Ich habe lange überlegt, ob ich den Song wirklich veröffentlichen soll. Doch letztendlich bin ich zu dem Schluss gekommen, dass dieser Song ein Weckruf an alle ist, die Gewalt als legitimes Mittel sehen um ans Ziel zu kommen.
Musikalisch breche ich hier voll aus den bisher gesetzten Trademarks aus. Durch die Bass-Beats und Raps von MR. HORROX bekommt der Song einen sehr groovigen Charakter und ich kann tatsächlich sagen: so einen Song gab es bei Evil Dream noch nie!

Today War Is My Business, the third single from the upcoming album, is released.
The song was supposed to be satirical and cynical, but at the moment it is rather laughable. The song deals with how bad and evil a person has to be to earn money with weapons and war. The song presents the thoughts of such a person in an exaggerated and vulgar way, but at the same time one thing should become clear: such a person is abysmally evil and bad.
I wrote this song in March 2021, long before Russia attacked Ukraine and started the first war in decades in Europe. I thought for a long time whether I should really publish the song. But in the end I came to the conclusion that this song is a wake-up call to all those who see violence as a legitimate means to get where they want to go.
Musically, I’m breaking out of the previously established trademarks. The bass beats and raps from MR. HORROX give the song a very groovy character and I can actually say: Evil Dream has never had a song like this before!
How Dare You OUT NOW!
Heute präsentiere ich euch mit How Dare You die zweite Single vom kommenden Album.
Dieser Song ist ein anklagender Weckruf an alle Menschen, die den Klimawandel, Ungerechtigkeit, Benachteiligung oder Rassismus begünstigen oder nicht entschieden genug bekämpfen. Gerade in der aktuellen Zeit ist es wichtig aufzustehen, laut zu sein und aktiv Missstände anzuprangern. Wir können als Gesellschaft nicht länger das Wegsehen tolerieren, uns läuft buchstäblich die Zeit davon. Und da kann man nicht oft und laut genug wiederholen: How Dare You?

This song is an accusatory wake-up call to all people who support or do not fight strongly enough against climate change, injustice, discrimination or racism. Especially in this day and age, it is important to stand up, be loud and actively denounce grievances. We as a society can no longer tolerate looking away, we are literally running out of time. And one cannot repeat this often and loudly enough: How Dare You?

Der Countdown zum nächsten Evil Dream Album ist gestartet und heute präsentiere ich euch die erste Single Way To Paradise.
Ein klassischer Evil Dream Song bei dem mir sofort klar war, dass dieser die erste Single werden würde. Das neue Album unterscheidet sich vom Sound sowie vom Songwriting her deutlich von den bisherigen, weswegen ich mit der ersten Single eine Mischung der bekannten Elemente präsentieren wollte.
